Ekvira Mata Mandir (Dhokali)

................................................
Hi! Welcome to this blog. Hope you like it. This is Sundar from Dhokali. This place is near Kolshet Road in Thane(w), Maharashtra, India.

Below are the photographs of Ekvira Mata temple of Dhokali (ढोकाली) village. This temple is on outskirt of the Dhokali village. It is in Front of Ayyappa & Nandi Baba temple. This gate of temple lies in west, and is touching the main road to Kolshet.

This is recent photograph but below are the photographs of the day of it's inauguration.

This is illuminated photograph of the same temple from same angle, on the day of it's inauguration. Quite cool, na?

This is a close snap of the upper portion of western gate to the Ekvira Mata ( एकवीरा माता) temple. Caricature of different deities have been carved like this along the temple.

These and more idols & sculpture scenery were created on that day. It was a charm to watch these idols & sculptures in setting sun's light. Here it is depicting (संत तुकाराम) Sant Tukaram.

In this particular scenery Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ( छत्रपती शीवाजी महाराज) is worshiping Lord Shiva (शीव भगवान).

This scene depicts Sai Baba (साईं बाबा) and their followers in Shirdi (शीर्डी ). This scene was created near the west gate of the temple.

This Jalpari

(i m not sure Jalpari or what)

was put in pair at both side of the western gate of the temple. Children were watching that, with an awe.

This scene has many deities placed together. You can see Guru Dattatrey, Sai Baba (साईं बाबा), Swami Samartha (स्वामी समर्थ) and many more.

Lord Vishnu (िवषणु भगवान) can be seen here with Lordess Lakshmi (माँ लक्श्मी) resting in their abode on Sheshnaag (शेष्नाग).

Garuda, वाहन of Lord Vishnu, in the service of his Lord. So friends, who all are ready to join the service community for Dhokali?

With arrangement like this, water-effects was created. Altogether it was a scene to be captured. I was lucky to be there. I hope to see similar arrangements for future events too.

You can see the main gate of the temple. But that day, seating arrangement was done here. Musical programs were performed here. Yes, I have videos of those. Of-course, I enjoyed. You missed it? Unlucky fellow.

I took this photograph around midnight. Is it thrill to live in Dhokali? Man, I simply love this place. Keep visiting this page, there's more to come.
